Gary Halbert said titles are the most important part of a copy. I was just thinking… well, why the hell am I talking about Gary Halbert? Out of those thousands and perhaps millions of people, I listened to some of his speech and he became kind of an authority in copywriting in my perspective. So, Gary Halbert said that, so that must be so. In consequent, people tend to have all kinds of authorities. Authorities, that lead people into doing stuff because “they know”. But, I was thinking, can there really be authorities? Especially, with say social sciences. Can somebody accurately predict Economics? Can somebody know exactly how the market reacts to certain things. Or, say, psychological actions of people? In the modern world, it goes like “You must do exactly this and that and that” or “You must change that part and do that” etc. But how much sense does that make? What if we’re doing all that just trying to please somebody? They say, you should always do what you love to do. But can you actually be doing that all the time? Should we listen to ourselves or some bullshit authority? Perhaps neither?
On a different note, I’m sitting in a new place and some file is downloading and so I was bored so I thought I would blog something. Yeah, the place, by the way, is where I would live for some time. Well, the general rule is, I’d stay around for some time and see if this sticks or not, and, hopefully, if it does, I’d live here more. But that’s offtopic. Wait, no, nothing is offtopic on this blog. In terms of this blog, I think I should stop posting crap here and just post the good stuff. Or, maybe nothing at all. Maybe I don’t need a blog at all. I dunno yet.
Okay, so, what else. Hope you don’t mind that rant on the top. I was thinking what’s on top of my head and blogging it out, etc and so it might come out boring. Oh, well, in fact, I don’t care if you think this is boring or not. Not in this case. But I have to improve my writing anyway. Eh, this is complicated.
P.S. The title of this article is supposed to grab your eye so it’s an oxymoron (or something).
P.P.S. And yeah, I know I’m crazy (the voices in my head disagree, though). Just kiddin’..
